WEDNESDAYS STARTING AT 9:00AM
Important Update – Horse Sale on December 3rd
Update – 12/05//25
Unfortunately, cases from secondary exposure are still being reported across the country. Due to the exposure, shedding and contagion timelines – we have made the difficult decision to extend the cancellation of our horse sales THROUGH THE END OF 2025. This means that ALL December horse sales are cancelled. Pending direction from the State Veterinary Office, we intend to resume our regular sale schedule – including all equines – in January 2026. As of this time, no horses will be accepted onto the premises.
The horse world has done a remarkable job of limiting travel and minimizing exposure, which leaves us hopeful that tertiary cases will be at a manageable minimum and we will be able to return to our normal schedule.
Original post:
Centennial Livestock Auction is aware of the current outbreak of EHV-1 in equines across the western United States and the confirmed case in Larimer County, Colorado. Our on-site veterinarian has been in constant communication with the Colorado State Veterinarian’s Office and the Colorado Department of Agriculture, seeking guidance on the situation.
Out of an abundance of caution, and in light of current guidance to cancel comingling horse events until we better understand how the virus is impacting horses in Colorado, we will not be holding the horse sale scheduled for the 26th.
We believe canceling this sale is the most responsible decision for the health and safety of our community’s horses. Information regarding future sales will be communicated as soon as it is available.
Thank you for your understanding.
